Baby, it's cold outside but this retreat in a "fantastic" location convenient to Downtown is "so warm and cozy" with "outstanding" beds and "panoramic windows" facing the rugged Chugach Mountains on Cook Inlet; the "prompt" and "attentive" staff "smiles and laughs with you", but a handful finds no humor in the "parking charges", "sparsely" outfitted rooms and smokers "in the hallways of nonsmoking rooms."

Beautiful rooms, good location and good view of the city.
No movies, no continental breakfast and very expensive restaurants and services.

Though it was a bit small, the exercise facility was a pleasant surprise.
Did not like the idea of the additional combined charges of $20 per day for wireless internet and parking.
Was hesitant in leaving anything of value in my car over night given the surrounding neighborhood. Overall stay was enjoyable, about as good as it gets for Alaska.

We were very disappointed. The room was extremely uncomfortable and hot. The window hardly cracked open and the thermostat did not seem to work. No paper view so forget about relaxing to watch a movie, oh and no

Wide screen TV, comfortable bed. Parking garage available (don't have to scrape off snow).
Wireless will not allow my computer to send outgoing messages, called their tech, they gave me a different server to try, didn't work.
Nice, except for problem with wireless email.

I really liked the remodeling of the lobby.
I do not think guests should have to pay for parking and the old doors need to be replaced.
Overall it was a pretty nice stay but we had a room with two double beds. My husband and I were in one and a friend was in the other. We are used to a king size bed so the bed felt real small and not real comfortable. The beds should probably be queen beds but the rooms are not big enough for two queen beds. ...read more
